International Orders Policy

International Orders and Inquiries. (Please Read Below Before Placing an Order)

The United States Postal Service has implemented a new third-party service through Zonos for international shipments. This service calculates, collects, and remitted duties, taxes, and import fees upfront, ensuring a guaranteed total cost with no surprise fees upon delivery. While this service does not currently apply to every country, we can no longer calculate standard shipping rates for international orders. Please note that total checkout costs will be higher because they now include all destination fees.

If you wish to proceed with an international order, please follow these steps:
1. Submit your order through our website.
2. We will enter your details into the USPS system to determine the final shipping and customs fees for your country.
3. We will hold your payment and contact you with the total cost for your confirmation.
4. Once you agree to the final amount, we will send a payment link to complete your order and initiate shipment.

Buyer’s Responsibility:

You are able to place orders of gun parts for up to $500.00 (excluding shipping) to certain countries through our website. It will be the buyer’s responsibility to verify and ensure all the items being purchased are permitted for import into your country, including obtaining any necessary permits or licenses. All orders are shipped through the United States Postal Service via Global Priority Airmail Insured with Pre-Approved ITN numbers issued by the U.S. Dept of Commerce, Homeland Security and U.S. Customs to export.

**All International orders are pulled and reviewed for shipping cost changes prior to being approved for processing. Also keep in mind that shipping cost will definitely change with orders over $200.00 in value. Other factors that will change the shipping cost as well will be the weight and size of the package being shipped.

Important Updates:

The U.S. Postal Service has temporarily suspended the guarantee on Priority Mail Express International until further notice.  The current Global Pandemic situation has caused delays with shipment carriers, customs clearance and delivery to the final end user destination. Please check link below for your countries status on receiving postal shipments.

We are not able to ship via Global Priority Airmail service to some countries based on the USPS link below. We can only ship via Global Express Airmail to these countries until further notice. The U.S. Postal Service has Temporarily Suspended international mail acceptance for certain destinations. Please check the USPS link below prior to placing an order on our website.

Pedidos Internacionales.

International orders are shipped on Wednesdays and Fridays of each week. Tracking numbers are available for shipments via USPS Express Mail Service (EMS) and also available via USPS Global Priority Mail.

Overseas orders for pistols and assault rifle parts (AR-15, Saiga), pistol frames, slides, and barrels, cannot be shipped overseas without an approved import and export permit or license and must submit an import license or permit to secure with the U.S. Dept of Commerce an approved export license before an order will be processed and shipped. We will not ship any gun parts without an approved Dept. Of Commerce ITN number or export permit if required. SSI Inc. does not nor will not ship International orders to freight forwarding companies without the proper import license or permits required. Gun parts and U.S. Dept of Commerce regulated component orders that exceed $500.00 require an import and export license and permits and Canadian orders that exceed $500.00 per order in value also require a license. We comply with all U.S. Dept. Of Commerce laws and regulations for items that require a license to export. We recommend using US Postal Express mail for faster secured delivery and a confirmed tracking numbers. We can also ship Global Priority and at the buyer’s risk but there is no guarantee on arrival date and a tracking number is provided. Please also note that current international shipping rates will vary and will be processed accordingly to size and weight and that the current international rates are for flat rate envelopes only.

Licenses from the U.S. Dept. Of Commerce can easily take 30-60 days to obtain an export license, please plan ahead accordingly. Many overseas countries may also require the buyer to apply for and receive an import permit or certificate in order to be able to import a licensed item into their country; so again, you will have to be aware of what the laws are enforced for your country.

SSI has an obligation to monitor shipments for both direct and indirect exports. A direct export is an order that is placed by an individual outside of the United States and then ships out of the US when all the required licenses and investigations have been successfully completed for that order. An indirect export is where an order is placed by a customer outside of the US and then is shipped to another location within the United States. Both of these types of orders could need an export license to take place. There are a number of things which need to be checked and verified for an export order and SSI is dedicated to conduct the required procedures as specified by the law. SSI will report any violations to the appropriate governing authorities of any potential orders placed which seeks to break those laws.

Customers will be required to provide an import permit or certificate from your government for us to include along with the export application for you order. You will also have to provide SSI with a written order for the items you wish to order. This can be an official purchase order or a written order on your company’s letterhead stationery, paragraphing in letter from the items you wish to order. Your signature is required on these items as well.
